Handed down and rooted in Takaoka
It was in 1916 in the city of Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture, that NOUSAKU began making metal castings. Their first designs were based around Buddhist altar fittings, flower vases, and tea ceremony accessories, and in more modern times they have expanded their designs to include home accessories, lampshades, and other beautiful ideas into their creations. The objects that they make look so beautiful because of the advanced casting techniques that have been handed down through the generations, and the fine appearances prove that much craftsmanship has gone into their creation. Over four hundred years of knowledge goes into each item, and the staff there are continuously learning and re-evaluating their skills so that any custom requests that they receive can be created perfectly.
